Worn Quilt

As you frolic through the meadow, an opening around a small cluster of trees draws your attention. There, in the middle of the wildflowers, is a blanket laid out with a picnic basket on top. A plate and teapot are sitting out under a tree’s shade, as well as a small stack of books. 

 

On top of the closed picnic basket is a notecard with your name on it. You pick it up and read, “𝘗𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘦𝘯𝘫𝘰𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘴𝘯𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘫𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘺. 𝘋𝘰 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘶𝘱 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘥𝘦𝘸 𝘪𝘧 𝘭𝘦𝘧𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘥.” 

 

You sit down on the quilt and notice how soft it is. The colors have faded here and there, probably from use and age. In some spots, you can see the vibrant deep peach it was, while it has faded to light pink in other places, but the floral pattern is still noticeable.  

 

You open the picnic packet to find pastries and fruit, along with a chilled container of milk for the tea. After enjoying your fill, you grab a book, lay back, and enjoy the afternoon at your new picnic spot.  

 

𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐧 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐭 is traditionally dyed in peaches, pinks, and yellow creams.

Alt Fingering Weight, 75% Superwash Merino 25% Nylon, 4-ply, 437 yards // 100 grams (This is different than our traditional fingering weight yarn)

All skeins are hand-dyed with care in a smoke-free and pet-free home. Please note that while all skeins are dyed together, every skein of yarn is unique and there may be some slight variation between them. After dyeing, all yarn is washed and rinsed thoroughly, however, a small amount of color bleeding may still occur during the first wash. 

For best care, please gently hand wash in cold water with a wool wash and lay flat to dry. Store yarn in an area away from direct sunlight to help maintain color.
