Sugar Cookies

You’ve finally made it home for the holidays. After a long night’s rest, you wake up feeling rejuvenated and at peace with being at your destination. Today is a chill day filled with one of your favorite holiday pastimes: making Christmas cookies! 

Christmas music is playing softly in the background while you pull out the old tin filled with family recipes. So many have yellowed with age and are harder to read (the cursive of those long ago days!) but you feel connected to your family of old. 

As you roll out the dough for cut out sugar cookies, you think of your great grandma even though you never met her. You love listening to stories as you work from your family. It makes you feel more connected. 

The gingerbread recipe came from your great aunt Gertrude who you’ll see while you’re in town. She’s a quirky one, but her gingerbread is so soft and chewy that you’re okay with it. 

The house warms from the oven being on all day but it smells like butter and sugar, nutmeg and molasses. It’s beginning to smell like Christmas.

Fingering Weight, 85% Superwash Merino (Extra Fine) 15% Nylon, 4-ply, 437 yards // 100 grams

All skeins are hand-dyed with care in a smoke-free and pet-free home. The dyestuff used is natural dyes either foraged or sourced from sustainable and ethically produced companies. Please note that while all skeins are dyed together, every skein of yarn is unique and there may be some slight variation between them. After dyeing, all yarn is washed and rinsed thoroughly, however, a small amount of color bleeding may still occur during the first wash. 

For best care, please gently hand wash in cold water with a wool wash and lay flat to dry. Store yarn in an area away from direct sunlight to help maintain color.
