It’s almost time for the family Christmas party and you’ve been assigned picking up Aunt Gertrude. Her house is a small square 1950’s home that probably hasn’t been remodeled since it was built. Outside she has strings of old fashioned holiday lights framing the house that one of your uncles probably helped put up.

Inside the house it looks like a tornado of Christmas came through. Great Aunt Gertrude never really left the style of a handful of decades past, and it shows in her holiday decor. But the decorations that might have been gauche a few years before are now the vintage nicknacks that people love to bring back.

The only word to describe her Christmas decorations is kitschy. So many colors. So many 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 colors. It’s a party and would probably beg for a migraine early in the morning. You tread carefully through the house while Aunt Gertrude gets ready to leave for the Christmas party. There are plenty of breakables in here and you definitely don’t want to be on anyone’s naughty list this year.

𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐊𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐬 is a kaleidoscope of color. It is certainly the brightest and wildest colorway from BFS to date! It really has some fun speckles throughout! And while it was initially bundled dyed with plant material, it has a few enhancements added it to make it not 100% naturally dyed.

Information on the base:

Fingering Weight, 85% Superwash Merino (Extra Fine) 15% Nylon, 4-ply, 437 yards // 100 grams

All skeins are hand-dyed with care in a smoke-free and pet-free home. The dyestuff used is natural dyes either foraged or sourced from sustainable and ethically produced companies. Please note that while all skeins are dyed together, every skein of yarn is unique and there may be some slight variation between them. After dyeing, all yarn is washed and rinsed thoroughly, however, a small amount of color bleeding may still occur during the first wash.

For best care, please gently hand wash in cold water with a wool wash and lay flat to dry. Store yarn in an area away from direct sunlight to help maintain color.

This yarn is READY TO SHIP.

All photographs are taken in natural light, and I try to keep the editing to a minimum, but colors may vary from monitor to monitor.

The wool used in this yarn is ethically produced from sheep that have NOT been mulesed.
