The cold sneaks up along the ground in the night. It slowly creeps up grass blades, climbs higher up stems to the petals of flowers that have stuck through the autumn season.
You wake and look outside to find the world covered in frost. The white atop the world makes everything look crisp and frozen in time. As the sun breaks over the horizon, everything shimmers and glows, spreading the color of the around you like watercolors.
First Frost is a variegated colorway made by bundle dyeing; it is filled with yellows and mauves, with a dance of black and brown, and a sprinkle of green.

All skeins are hand-dyed with care in a smoke-free and pet-free home. The dyestuff used is natural dyes either foraged or sourced from sustainable and ethically produced companies. Please note that while all skeins are dyed together, every skein of yarn is unique and there may be some slight variation between them. After dyeing, all yarn is washed and rinsed thoroughly, however, a small amount of color bleeding may still occur during the first wash.
For best care, please gently hand wash in cold water with a wool wash and lay flat to dry. Store yarn in an area away from direct sunlight to help maintain color.
This yarn is READY TO SHIP.
All photographs are taken in natural light, and I try to keep the editing to a minimum, but colors may vary from monitor to monitor.
The wool used in this yarn is ethically produced from sheep that have NOT been mulesed.
