An Ancient Wood

After your rest at the pond, you continue your journey through the forest. You feel as if you must be getting close to your destination, even though you aren’t quite sure where that is.  

 

Slowly some of the bright green starts to fade from the woods around you until you are walking amongst trees that must be ancient. There are massive roots above ground and trunks twisted together.  

 

There are also fallen down and decaying trees that look like they’ve been there longer than you’ve been alive. And along those fallen logs are hundreds of clusters of little brown mushrooms of all kinds. Looking at them makes you smile for the reminder that death is not the end for these trees, because they continue to give life after they’ve fallen.  

 

𝐀𝐧 𝐀𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐖𝐨𝐨𝐝 is a naturally dyed base with speckled dyes on top. They range in color from deep brown to red tones with small hints of green.

Fingering Weight, 85% Superwash Merino (Extra Fine) 15% Nylon, 4-ply, 437 yards // 100 grams

All skeins are hand-dyed with care in a smoke-free and pet-free home. The dyestuff used is natural dyes either foraged or sourced from sustainable and ethically produced companies. Please note that while all skeins are dyed together, every skein of yarn is unique and there may be some slight variation between them. After dyeing, all yarn is washed and rinsed thoroughly, however, a small amount of color bleeding may still occur during the first wash. 

For best care, please gently hand wash in cold water with a wool wash and lay flat to dry. Store yarn in an area away from direct sunlight to help maintain color.
